Ironvale Chronicle
★★★★★ 4.6
Ironvale Chronicle is the kind of RPG you settle into over a week rather than a weekend. You build a small party, each member with a clear role, and the turn-based fights reward planning over button-mashing. We spent a happy evening just tweaking skill loadouts before a boss fight.
The writing is better than it needs to be. Side characters get real dialogue, and choices ripple forward in small ways. Combat stays readable on a phone because the grid is generous and the icons are big.
If there's a complaint, it's that early pacing is gentle. Push past the first couple of chapters and the systems open up nicely.
What we liked
- Thoughtful turn-based combat
- Characters worth caring about
- Clear UI on small screens
