About
Tower & Tactics started as a group chat between three friends who kept arguing about which tower defence games were worth the storage space. We decided to stop arguing and start writing things down, and the site grew from there. Everything you read here comes from hours of actual play on our own devices.
We focus on strategy, tower defence, and the overlap in between, but we also cover the games that sit next to them on our home screens. When a title lands on the site, someone on the team has finished a solid chunk of it, lost a few battles, and usually restarted at least once to test a different build.
Games get picked for coverage based on two things: whether they do something interesting with their mechanics, and whether they respect the player's time on a small screen. We ignore marketing lists and pick what we're genuinely curious about. If a game bores us, we say so.
We're not sponsored by anyone, and we pay for our own downloads. That keeps us free to write what we think, which is the whole point.
Mikael Berg — Mikael has been building mazes in tower defence games since the Flash era and now leads the editorial team. He prefers slow, defensive play and will defend chokepoint strategies to anyone who listens.
